I am a career IT person, more recently specialising in compliance and cyber security. My career started as a computer operator in the mid-1960’s and then I progressed through programmer, systems analyst, IT Manager, and then finally moved into the Consulting arena, and spent the last portion of my career as a Payment Card Industry Assessor and advising companies in terms of compliance with Global Standards. I was born in what was then Rhodesia, spent 13 years in the Airforce fighting the bush war, and then left for South Africa, where I founded two computer companies in the 1990’s. I am reasonably well-travelled as my career has taken me all over Africa, Europe and parts of the USA, and I have lived in the UK on two occasions, but Africa is in my blood.

Why this type of audiobook? Well, for many years I have had a passion for self-improvement. Specifically in terms of what most of these books teach, that the right thought and frame of mind are critical to success!
